Starting to mentally pack up!!

I finally did a couple of jobs in my new truck!! I have been in a different truck up till now, but this week I did three uplinks out of my new chariot!! It is a little smaller that the trucks I have run in the past, but it is setup very nicely, so that all of the room inside is utilized very well. I am off this weekend, then I work Monday, then off Tues and Wed, then I have a job in San Fran on Saturday. After this job on Saturday the plan is for me to start driving home!! YEAY!!!!!! I cant wait to get home, especially seeing all the fun I am missing! (see Lexy's pumpkin patch blog, I have linked to it on the right of this page under favorite links)
I miss everyone back home, and I can definately say that after a month in California.... I am DEFINATELY a southeast boy!!! The culture, weather, DRIVERS, and landscape all make me wanna go home! I am just not built for this area. If you love it here, more power to you, but its just not for me.



I did make a trip to Napa Valley a couple of weeks ago, and it was a very cool visit! I went to see dads old roommate and buddy from Miami, Tim Hanni. I had a great time visiting with him, his wife Kate, and their son Landon. It was pretty cool to see them and I had a lot of fun hearing old stories about my dad!! The highlight of the weekend however was riding in Tims Lotus Elise!!

Anyway, I hope this finds everyone well. I hope to catch up with you all very soon!!!!!

The Road Warrior

Hello all!! I am coming to you from the lovely Panera Bread in San Jose, CA. "Why would he blog from a Panera?" you ask...

Well, I have been away from my normal hotel all week due to multiple jobs this week in the "South Bay" area. The hotel at which I have been sleeping has NO INTERNET!! Who does that anymore? Anyway, I am eating lunch, and after I am done here I go to the Santa Clara vs Pepperdine volleyball game to uplink it for ESPN-U. It has been a good learning experience these last couple of days because I have learned what needs to be done in between jobs while on the road. I must be honest though, being out of town, with nothing to do but wait until tommorow...that sucks. You are at the mercy of the amenities provided by your hotel, the surrounding area, and the presence of the INTERNET!!!!! I didnt realize the full influence of the internet on my life until I didnt have it, traveling from wireless zone to wireless zone, getting my "tweaks" by checking my email once every couple of hours. The people at starbucks looked at me funny when, after an hour and a half of checking email etc, I thought about catching up on "Heroes" which I have missed for the last two weeks. One guy came over and cleaned the table next to me, looked at me sideways and made a really annoyed face...which I interpreted as "dude, buy more coffee or please go take up a table somewhere else." Since I have already downed 2 Venti Caramel Macchiatos, I decided to move on before I died of sugar poisoning.

Anyway, we are planning on me starting my drive back to florida on oct. 28th. It still seems like forever from now, but I am glad to finally have a horizon in view. I cant thank everyone back home enough for the support and love for me, Lexy, and Xander!!!

I love all of you guys and I hope to see you all soon so that we can catch up, raise a glass to everyone that helped make this possible, and most of all hug and kiss my wife an baby boy!!!

Hello all!!

Just a quick update!

I am now out doing solo gigs! I did a shot for ESPN on Sunday morning, and I am doing a CNN liveshot tomorrow (tues) morning! Everything is starting to come together on the new truck, we are getting the cables made in preparation for the new equipment, so pray that the vendors ship my stuff pronto!!!

I cant thank the people who have been helping Lexy back at home enough!!! You guys are the ones sacrificing so much (Lexy included!!) so that we can make it through this time. I owe you guys so much!! I hope I can make it up to each and every one of you in the future!!!
